2020-2021 Return to School Drop Off/Pick Up Procedure

Start and end times are staggered in the morning and the end of the day as outlined below.
All children should be dropped off at the school gates and a member of the Leadership Team will be able to answer any questions and to help you with your child/children.
At the end of the day, if your child is in P1-P3 there will be a designated area in the playgrounds for you to wait for your child. We ask that only one parent comes to pick up children to prevent overcrowding and to enable social distancing. If your child is in P4-P7 they will meet you at their designated gate. Unfortunately no parents of P4-P7 children are allowed in the school playground to mitigate risks. When a class is dismissed from school the older pupils will be encouraged to leave the school grounds through their exit and not hang around outside. We encourage all of our families to walk to school where possible and remember to park your car and walk to the Car Free Zone times between 8.30am-9.15am and 2.15pm-3.15pm

If the weather is wet, your child will be escorted into class where they are supervised by school staff and P7 monitors.
Your child should know who is collecting them each day. We will look after younger children in their class / at the office until they are collected.
We ask that when you are dropping off or picking up your child that you please park responsibly.
Car-Free Zone
Bankhead Primary School has been chosen to be part of the GCC's Glasgow School car free zone pilot starting in August 2019.
Between the hours of 8.30am-9.15am and 2.30pm-3.15pm, both Caldwell Avenue and Broadlie Drive will be strictly pedestrianised (excluding cycles and emergency vehicles) during the school term.
We ask that you please respect the car free zones during pick up and drop off for the safety of the children.
