School Building

Bankhead Primary is a one storey traditional red brick building constructed in 1930.  A new wing was opened in 1960, replacing part of the school damaged in the Second World War in the Clydebank Blitz.  The school has 17 teaching areas and a general purpose room/library.  There is also an assembly hall with stage, a gymnasium, an ICT Suite and a dining hall with cooking facilities.

The present roll of the school is 418 pupils and the capacity is 462.

New P1 pupils should arrive for 9.30am on Monday 16th August via the main entrance on Caldwell Avenue.
